Coast2Bay is currently partaking in early discussions for the redevelopment of an existing under-utilised housing site in Mooloolaba, and proposing a high density residential development to be sold to the open market. The intention is for the return on these properties to be reinvested for the delivery of social housing solutions on an alternative site.
Early engagement is currently taking place with a parental group seeking suitable accommodation for their disabled children to ensure they have supportive housing into the future. The provision of on-site carer accommodation will be an important element of the design. The proposal will provide reassurance to families that their disabled sons and daughters have the appropriate supportive living arrangements and financial security for the rest of their lives. A range of configuration options and locations are currently being considered and we hope to develop the project further over the coming months.
Coast2Bay is currently working with the Zonta Club of Caloundra on the RISE project with the primary focus to develop supported accommodation for women and children escaping domestic violence. The RISE project aims to raise $90,000 in 90 days to complete the project.
