Coast2Bay Housing Group is involved in various projects across the Sunshine Coast area.
Our motivation behind new development projects is simply to obtain housing for disadvantaged people within our community. Coast2Bay is keen to seek new development opportunities to assist with the provision of community, affordable and specialist housing within the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay regions. Our established partnerships with both the development industry and support organisations are key to delivering the right type of housing, in the right locations, with the right supports.
Coast2Bay’s renovation of a four bedroom house at Mooloolaba was completed in 2010. This brick and tile home underwent a transformation that enables three people with disabilities to live in a spacious and comfortable home designed with their needs specifically addressed. The Department of Communities and Coast2Bay provided funding for this Disability services project.
This property is in a fantastic location, not too far from the beach, across the road from a park, and has a wonderful outdoor area where the occupants can relax and unwind in a tranquil setting.
Coast2Bay in collaboration with the Department of Communities – Disability Services, has completed a residence to house 6 people with disabilities who are confined to wheelchairs. The plan shows the residence is designed for specific needs. Living space inside and out is open plan and spacious to allow ease of movement for the occupants.
The property is close to the Tewantin Village and Noosa River so the residents have the opportunity to enjoy the relaxed lifestyle that is on offer in this beautiful riverside location. Wesley Mission Brisbane provides the support services for tenants at this property.
